Using JDownloader
JDownloader is the best download manager being made. It has many wonderful features:
Ok first of all you will need:
Step 1 [launching JDownloader]:
Launch JDownloader, in Windows it is download click on JDownloader.exe... Linux you will need to create a launcher to make it easy to launch, sadly i can't remember the command, and i don't know how to do it for MACs.
Step 2 [Adding the link]:
Go off and find a link that you want to download and copy it to your clipboard, for this i am going to use:
Download Rapidshare 5mb - TESTING
Open the link in your web browser.
Step 3 [CAPTCHA and saving DLC]:
Once the link has been opened you will need to complete the captcha as this changes just read as a human and you will be ok. I would suggest clicking on the particular button below, and then get your web browser to save it to a file location.
Step 4 [Opening the DLC File]:
To open the DLC file you would do this:
File > Add > Load Container
Browse for the container file, click it and then hit "Open".
Step 5 [JDownloads Checks]:
After you hit "open" JDownloader will go and do some magic, and get you your links. In this case it will grab the links from the DLC file, and then display something like this below:
Step 6 [Acceptance]:
Click on the "accept all" button, and hit the star button (the one that looks like an arrow!). Now go away from your pc and play outside whilst it downloads it for you!
F.A.Q
1.In the status section it says "wait for new ip". What should i do?
Answer:
You need to disable auto-reconnect as you are on a static ip or have not set up the reconnect. I am on a static IP address so i do not use reconnect and therefore do not know how to set it up so any issues there i cannot help you.
Just click the button below. The only difference should be that you have a tick inside the tick box.
Then restart JDownloader. That should be all you need to do to get rid of this problem.
